Ibanez ART100 or Epiphone SG G-400?
After 4 years of playing a crappy B.C. Rich Warlock, it’s time to get a new guitar. Since I don’t have much money right now (and I really need a new instrument, since the neck of my B.C.R. is almost broken), I seek for an inexpensive solution. I saw these two beauties, tried them, and liked them both. Well, the Epi has some pretty bad pickups, but it really doesn’t matter, since I’m planning on replacing the stock pickups with better ones. The price difference is only about 50-60 euros, and, like I said, I really like both of them, so I just want to know which one is of higher quality.
And, as an optional question, which pickups would be better (only in bridge position): an active EMG (like the 81 model) or maybe one of the Seymour Duncan models (don’t really know which one, since I have no experience with them)? I play many genres, from blues-rock to alternative metal, but I’m in a industrial/gothic metal band, so…
By the way, sorry for my English. Cheers!
Epiphone SG G-400.
