What is a “palace of the mind”, and how do you build one?
In Thomas Harris’ ‘Hannibal’ series, he mentions throughout that Lector has built a “palace of the mind” — an internal structure for organizing memory, critical thinking, and introspection. In “Hannibal”, there are a few brief mentions of Hannibal’s attempts to build a palace for Starling, specifically creating the foundation. In “Hannibal Rising”, we see Lector’s earliest introduction to building a palace and his use of it, but little details of how it was constructed.
My question is, what resources did Harris pull from to write about “palaces of the mind”? What studies or books are available on this subject? I’ve tried searching the web, but can’t find anything that isn’t a bad or bad gothic poetry. Helpful websites would also be appreciated — even if they’re only on similar concepts. For example, I found a mention on a hypnosis website that, ‘any non-licensed layperson could teach a subject how to open their subconscious mind for a perfect memory.’

This is not the answer to your question which is excellent but a suggestion for before starting on such a project. I have read somewhere how to proceed but I don`t remember where. Obviously I didn`t try it.
My suggestion is one which will help in building a plan prior to beginning. This is read ^The Law of Attraction^ by Esther and Jerry Hicks if you have not already done so. There you would find tips on where emphasis should be laid and where to de-emphasize. Thank you for the reminder. Cheers!

Modern haiku poems
haiku poems Japanese have a long tradition. It can be dated ago centuries, and what makes haiku poems as relevant to the post modern area? Why haiku poems are still relevant to our time?
The most common theme of the poems in haiku is nature. As a human species that are a big part of nature and always will be. Therefore poems nature is always going to be real to us and people always have fun and joy of reading short poems in relation to the beautiful scenery around them.
However, if the haiku poems is not adapted to the area we live in this moment could be gone from our consciousness and being only a part of history – written long ago time. But the end of the haiku poems to come, especially because the format of these poems. It seems that the set of rules that make a poem, a haiku can be adapted to other topics. So while we haiku poems from their original contests, but keep the same format, basically, to turn to another kind of haiku poems.
Take for example computer haiku poems. It is well known that we are living in an area which is mainly characterized by the presence of computers. It is natural that we haiku poems on that topic as part of our popular culture. Some might say that this attitude is ruining the Japanese poems or a poem is not haiku at all. But others say, and I agree that preservation is really the tradition of poetry. Thus people who were not familiar with this type of poetry, not only get to know, but also adapted as part of his life.
